Each entry is a real rate request Shopify sent to SMART at checkout. The log does not record Delivery customizations, which run as Shopify Functions after the carrier callback.

Browse rate requests

Open Activity log and use the tabs to narrow the list. Entries are kept for up to 48 hours.

Open a request

Open a row to see the destination, cart, and matched outcome for that checkout. When the request used dimension features, the cart also shows the dimensions SMART used for each item.

  • Set dimensions appear as the stored length, width, and height.
  • Missing dimensions with shop defaults show that the shop default was used.
  • Missing dimensions with no default show that the item was treated as 0.

This is not delivery customization history

The Activity log records carrier-service rate requests only. It cannot explain why a method was hidden, renamed, or reordered. Those actions come from Delivery customizations, which you should test in real Shopify checkout.

When to use it

  1. Run the same cart and destination in Checkout simulator so you know what the engine should return.
  2. Place or reproduce the live checkout that looks wrong.
  3. Open Activity log and find the matching request.
  4. Compare destination, cart, matched outcome, and, when present, per-item dimensions.
  5. If no rates were returned, check Carrier Service, zones, and conditions. See Shipping rates not showing.

For simulator limits, read Checkout simulator. For missing or defaulted sizes, read Product dimensions. If you still need help, contact support@etradepartner.io or use in-app chat and include the request time, destination, cart, expected result, and actual checkout result.

Compare live checkout with the rate request SMART received

Use SMART to inspect carrier-service rate requests, then fix zones, conditions, or product dimensions when calculated rates do not match checkout.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Activity log show?

It shows Shopify carrier-service rate requests sent to SMART at checkout, including destination, cart, and matched outcome.

When should I use the Activity log?

Use it when the Checkout simulator looks right but live checkout does not, or when no calculated rates were returned.

Does the Activity log show delivery customization results?

No. Delivery customizations are Shopify Functions, not the carrier callback. The log cannot explain hide, rename, or reorder actions.

What do the dimension lines on a request mean?

When dimension features ran, each item shows the set dimensions, that the shop default was used, or that the item was treated as 0. Use Product dimensions to correct missing sizes.
