First setup checklist

Important Carrier Service split
Delivery customizations work on existing checkout methods and do not require Carrier Service. Shipping rates and combined rates are calculated rates, so they need Shopify Carrier Service. In the app, zone creation is disabled when Carrier Service is not available.

- Read Delivery customizations if you want to hide, show, move, rename, or sort methods.
- Read Shipping rates and zones if you need country, city, postal code, cart, product, weight, volume, or quantity pricing.
- Read Product dimensions if rates depend on length, width, height, or dimensional weight.

What to test before relying on a rule
Use Checkout simulator to run a test cart, destination, and ship-from location through the calculated-rate pipeline. Delivery customizations are not applied there, so hide, rename, and reorder still need a real Shopify checkout. After a live checkout, Activity log keeps matching requests for up to 48 hours.
